AT CBC
At CBC, we believe that every Christian should join a local church. The Scriptures clearly teach that all who belong to Christ by faith also belong to his family and his body, the church (1 Cor 13:13; Eph 1:22–23; 4:11–15; Col 1:18; Heb 10:24–25). The Christian life is lived out properly in the context of this community, and membership is the shorthand way we describe the relationship between a Christian and the local church where they belong, gather, serve, and receive care and oversight. To communicate the significance of both the privileges and responsibilities of church membership, we ask prospective members to go through a 3-step membership process.
Our prospective members class is offered on multiple occasions throughout the year (typically a Friday evening or Saturday morning), and covers key topics like our beliefs, vision, and distinctives at CBC, as well as the meaning, significance, and responsibilities of church membership.
This is an opportunity for the elders to get to know you better, hear about your conversion, baptism, and walk with Christ, and answer any questions you may have about CBC Peabody.
Candidates will be recommended to the church by the elders and presented to the congregation on New Members Sunday to be received officially into the membership of CBC.

Our next New Member Classes are scheduled for Saturday, June 28, and Saturday, July 26, from 8:30-11 AM on either date.
